Oh yes, the night really was as delicious as it sounds, living up to every expectation one would have of a fashion launch event with a retro twist, down to the signature cocktails and similarly themed cupcakes- a "Grace Kelly" cupcake with your champagne infused cocktail, "The Audrey," perhaps? And what better venue to do it in than in the multi-level chic and vibey, Le Souk Harem, with their yummy full dinner AND hookah menu. Huzzah!

It is both greatly refreshing and inspiring to see such an intelligent, beautiful, and genuine woman bringing positive enlightenment to the fashion industry. Lisa of Phoenix Aficionado was my best dressed of the night with a truly retro frock- complete with draping along the front and a slight train, a'la '50s. Best part? It's actually an '80s thrift store find she had altered. Once again, the power of thrift prevails!

Above are the shoes I had packed before realizing they would not fit in my bag alongside my camera. To my dismay, walking in heels- as I have been since my early teens- 'tis not the same as walking in heels in NYC! C'est la vie!
